Sherdons Golf Club is a family run business and has been in the family for generations. It has been voted the best golf club in Tewkesbury in a recent survey. In 2006 a new club house was built which can cater for all corporate or social events businesses or individuals may wish to hold. KR thanked Richard for hosting the first J9 meeting off of an industrial estate. Gloucestershire First is growing as a partnership, one of the most successful sub-regional partnerships in the county. KR now manages the Innovation & Investment team at Gloucestershire First, which is the ‘customer facing’ part of the organization. KR then introduced MT the new Tewkesbury Parklife Business Advocate. KR then concluded that his vision was still to maintain Parklife as “providing a business voice to act for change”
MT will now become the primary contact for J9 businesses. |

Mike Trust is the new Tewkesbury, Cheltenham and Cirencester Parklife Business Advocate. Mike has lived in Tewkesbury since the age of 12 and worked in Gloucestershire all of his life. Having a strong business background Mike specialises in Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management. Mike expressed his desire to build partnerships and utilising Parklife’s extensive contacts. Mike ended by expressing how much he was looking forward to working with all J9 businesses.

Buying Support Agency (Matt Roper)

BSA is a purchasing company established in 2002 by Matt Roper. Focusing on purchasing BSA could help to reduce company’s costs by searching around suppliers and finding cheaper prices on businesses behalf. MR has a passion to help with small to medium sized businesses.
Incentives to join BSA Consortium include:
- Free to join for all J9 Businesses
- No contractual lock in (utilities and telecoms excepted)
- Allows businesses to relocate staff time to more critical purchasing spend
- Average cost saving by 15-25%
How does it work?
- You send your last three months invoices to BSA
- BSA then put this information into a spreadsheet and omit the company name and prices to blind send to suppliers
- Savings then shown to the business
- BSA then invite the winning supplier to meet with the business
